First Officer (Narrow Body, Non-Type-Rated)


Scope of Advertisement

First Officer candidates who do not have a current type rating in one of the A320and B737 aircraft types will be evaluated within the scope of this announcement.

General Qualifications  

- Turkish citizien or blue cardholder,

- Born after 01.01.1984 (after 01.01.1974 for candidates with a total flight experience of 1500 hours or more)

- At least high school graduation (our candidates who graduated from a high school abroad are required to submit their equivalence certificates.),

- Not having received any written punishment due to flight failure or indiscipline 

- Having no Criminal Record and Criminal Archive Record, 

- Having completed the military service, or being exempt from or able to commit to postponing it for minimum 2years,  

- Accepting the place to be shown by the partnership as the main base and residing there,

- Not having quitted jobs in other organizations due to indiscipline previously,

- Not having left Turkish Airlines Inc. or Turkish Airlines Inc. subsidiaries due to contract termination or indiscipline previously,  

- For the Blue card holders or candidates with more than one citizenship, being able to speak fluent and understandable Turkish. 

Technical Qualifications

- Holding current CPL/IR(A) with ATPL theory creditor current ATPL(A) (DGCA Turkey/EASA/FAA/ICAO),

- Holding MEP/IR rating (must be recorded in the license.),

- Having completed A-UPRT and MCC trainings (must have been completed by the employment date.), 

- For the candidates at the employment stage, holding flight license issued by DGCA Turkey,

- Having Class-1 certificate compatible with their license. 

*Note: Applications from candidates who have completed MCC and A-UPRT trainings will be prioritized. Therefore, it is important to upload these certificates to the “CV Attachments” section at the application stage. Candidates who upload their certificates to the system after applying are also required to send their certificate images to TKPILOTISTIHDAM@THY.COM. If the need for employment continues, the applications of our candidates who do not have the relevant certificates will also be evaluated. It is sufficient that the ME/IR ratings are recorded in the flight license, and they do not need to be up to date.

Health Requirements 

1.PilotRecruitment Health Criteria

-Having a valid medical certificate issued by the Aviation Medical Center Authorized by DGCA Turkey does not mean that your medical examination has been completed. The most recent employment examination to be performed by the workplace physicians of our partnership is taken as basis. In the meantime, your past health records and your current health file will be reviewed, and our partnership's workplace physicians will decide whether you will be employed or not. If s/he is not employed, the candidate may not claim any right.

2. Holding Updated 'Fit for Flight' Health Report 

- The candidates who are successful in the selection processes are required to obtain a medical report at the employment stage, which is issued within the last 30 days by the Aviation Medical Centers authorized by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation and confirms that they are healthy sufficient to be fit for flight.

Foreign Language Proficiency Requirements 

- Foreign language proficiency within the scope of criteria determined by Turkish Airlines.

- English Proficiency Level at ICAO Level 4 and above (It must have been recorded in th elicense by the commencement date and be valid for minimum 6 months as of the employment date.

- The candidates who submit one of the following documents obtained within the last 2years shall be exempt from the Aviation English test;

        TOEFL (IBT) : 60 (Speaking: 18)

        IELTS(General-Academic) : 6 (Speaking: 6)

       PTE (Academic) : 46 (Speaking: 46)

*Home edition and online language tests are not accepted.

Manner of Application and Procedure to follow

- The candidates who meet the abovementioned requirements are required to apply for the advertisement through the internet. Any applications other than internet application shall not be accepted.

Following their application, candidates are required to upload the following documents to the CV Attachments field on the Career page:

*Criminal Archive Record Document, by selecting “official” in the “type of institution” field and “other” in the “why the document will be issued” field (must have been received within the last 1month),

*Military Service Certificate (can be obtained through e-government),

*SSI Workplace Title List and Service Scheme

*National ID card; TR ID number and date of birth must be visible,

*Diploma or E-Government Graduation Certificate,

*Flight License (front and back pages),

*Health Certificate,

*Logbook (last 3 pages),

*A-UPRT and MCC certificates (if available), (Candidates with MCC and A-UPRT certificates will be given priority in the processes. Therefore, it is important to upload these certificates to the CV Attachments section at the application stage.) They are required to upload their documents in PDF format.  When uploading the relevant documents, only the name of the document must be written in the file name, not the name and surname.

The candidates who hold language certificate shall be invited for Competence Evaluation process. Candidates who do not have a language certificate will be invited to the Aviation English exam to be conducted by Turkish Airlines.

• Candidates with a bachelor's degree can apply with the graduation certificate or diploma images they will receive through e-government. (Transcript is not accepted.)

• The candidates who become successful at the end of the entire process shall be offered employment, asked to prepare employment documents, and after the candidate delivers the required documents, their employment process shall be completed.

First Officer (Narrow Body, Non-Type-Rated) Candidate Evaluation Processes:
Candidates who pass the online document check are invited to the processes.
• Aviation English Test and Competency Assessment

Candidates who cannot submit a language certificate will take the Aviation English test.

The competency assessment process may take place on the same or different days as the Aviation English test.

•Simulator Test
Candidates who are passed the competency assessment are invited to the simulator test.
•Document Check, HR and Business Department Technical Interview
Candidates who successfully complete the simulator test are invited for document check and HR and Business Department Technical interview.
Aviation English, competency assessment, and simulator test evaluation stages may vary depending on slot availability.
*Notes:
• Candidate swho do not hold A-UPRT and MCC certificates are required to complete A-UPRT and MCC certificates before starting work.

•Within the scope of the evaluation processes specified below, candidates who fail twice in the same process, regardless of the year of participation, cannot be included in the processes again. (Except for the Aviation English exam)

•Candidates who have failed any process for the first time must reapply to the next announcement to be opened in order to be included in the processes again, provided that they meet the criteria of the announcement.

•Turkish Airlines reserves the right to change the processes.
